Take a tour of an active volcano, see the ocean from a glass bottom boat, take a helicopter tour of the island, or go: golfing, snorkeling, surfing, sport fishing, parasailing, hiking, rent a motorcycle, etc. There is no end to what you can do in Kona Hawaii.

Kailua-Kona is also home to the Ironman Triathlon World Championships, a number of sport fishing tournaments, paddling races and golf tournaments at all levels. There is plenty of swimming, running, biking and hiking available for the active traveler, and no shortage of places to relax for the quiet vacation times.
